On a warm July afternoon, two men walked up to a small, nondescript white pickup truck in a quiet residential neighborhood.
The men walked down the street with a heavy bag.
“This is our truck,” said one of them, holding the truck out for a photo with the camera.
The man walked away with a small white backpack.
The next day, they drove out to a parking lot, loaded it into the truck and took off.
A few hours later, they stopped at a gas station to fill up.
When the men looked inside the truck, they saw an unassuming metal case on the dashboard, but the case contained some very interesting stuff: a fully assembled, fully functional Ford Ranger.
In a matter of minutes, the two men were in possession of the world’s first fully functional custom Ford ranger, and they had just completed their first build project.
“It’s a lot of fun, man,” said Anthony Baca, who is a mechanic for Ford.
“The fact that it’s a Ford Ranger is like nothing else I’ve ever seen before.
It’s just a very, very good car.”
For more than a year, Anthony Bacan and his friends have been building custom Ford rangers for Ford to showcase in a new Ford showroom in Dearborn, Michigan.
Ford recently opened the Ford Ranger showroom, which opened in March, and has since been the home of the most popular Ford ranger on the planet.
“If I could build one of these, it would be the Ford ranger,” said Baca.
The Ford Ranger, which is a five-door sedan, is one of the largest, most powerful and most expensive Ford vehicles ever made.
The Ranger has been the company’s top seller since it was introduced in 1992, with sales reaching a record 5.8 million units in 2014.
Baca and his Ford team have been working on the project for more than two years.
The rangers are a collaboration between Baca’s shop and a team of engineers at Ford’s Lansing, Michigan, factory.

Ford engineers and Ford workers have worked on Ford’s Ranger project for about two years, according to Baca (right).
The engineers and technicians built and assembled the rangers themselves, and then they built the final version of the car, which was assembled in Michigan.
The team built the ranger in three parts, including the suspension and wheels, according of Ford.
The engineers used the Ford RPO to design the body, which uses a composite material called fiberglass, which makes up the frame and has a high-strength, low-slip material for the suspension.
The fiberglass provides strength, stiffness and aerodynamics for the body.
The body also includes lightweight carbon fiber for the front and rear suspension, which adds weight without compromising safety, according the Ford engineers.
The front and the rear suspension are combined to form a single unit.
The car is designed for the road and the dirt, with Ford’s engineers saying it is designed to be capable of traveling from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds.
“We have always been focused on safety and comfort for our customers,” said Chris Latham, vice president of product management for Ford Performance Products, in a statement.
“With the Ford Pinto, we’re taking a step toward that goal by designing a vehicle that is more responsive, stable and comfortable.
We know there is more to be done, but with our team of Ford engineers, we are ready to take on the challenge.”
The ranger was designed to carry passengers in the back seat and carry heavy equipment such as a gas tank, a trailer hitch, or a gas pedal.
The company also says the ragers have a low center of gravity, which means the rager can be driven on the ground, allowing the driver to move faster and more efficiently.
“These are some of the biggest rides a Ford can do, and we wanted to make sure the ragey driver was ready to ride in the driver’s seat,” said Steve Rees, director of Ford Performance products, in the statement.
A couple weeks ago, the Ford rager project was featured in a YouTube video, which featured two Ford engineers driving a Ford ragers around a track.
“A Ford Ranger can go fast, it can go slow, it’s got a great attitude and a lot more fun than you think,” one of those engineers said.
Bacos and his team are excited about the potential for the Ford team to work on the rants.
“I think the idea is great, and it’s something that Ford needs to do, because we have a lot to look forward to,” said Latham.
