Apple has a new “green egg” accessory that lets users eat eggs that have been treated with a green dye.
Apple launched the green egg product in January, and it can be found in Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers.
The product’s only problem?
The egg is coated with a “green coating,” which is supposed to mimic the natural look of green eggs.
But the coating can also be seen as green by people who have a green egg allergy, a condition that affects about 1 in 10 people, according to the Mayo Clinic.
So how do you avoid it?
If you want to avoid the green coating, simply wash the egg with water before eating it, Apple said.
If your egg is already green, it will stay green.
And it won’t hurt the eggs to remove it, too, Apple noted in a blog post.
“There is no need to wash or rinse your eggs before eating them, as they’ll be fine after washing,” the company said.
“So long as you follow the directions for the product and follow the instructions carefully, you should be fine.”
You can use the green Egg to create green chorizo sauce or green beans, and you can use it to make green salad, apple sauce or any other green food that has a green coating.
